We happen to think any day’s a great day to be on the Big Island, and we don’t need a calendar to prove it. But there are some times annual events and interesting happenings to make your visit even more special. The year starts off in the middle of whale watch season, progresses to the prestigious Merrie Monarch hula competition in the spring, heats up during Hawaii International Billfish Tournament in the summer, and slides into Aloha Festivals and the Ironman World Cup Triathlon in the fall. Take a look, and if your meeting or incentive falls during a Big Island special event, be sure it’s included on your program’s itinerary.
