Golf

With 20+ magnificent courses and at least 350 sunny golf days per year, Hawaii Island is lovingly nicknamed the “Golf Capital of Hawaii.” Designer names like Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, Tom Weiskopf and Jay Morrish, Robert Trent Jones Jr. AND Sr. challenge the golfer’s skill and imagination. Down the western coast from North Kohala to Keauhou-Kona, you’ll find surprisingly dramatic contrast from course to course. Stark, black lava coastline borders a deep blue Pacific, with green, misty hills up mauka (toward the mountains). Resort professionals are on hand to help organize your tournaments, group lessons or special golf outings with all the amenities. The East side of the island, renowned for its tropical green lushness, presents even more golf options. The most difficult decision you’ll be faced with is which course to play today.
