Hawai‘i’s Big Island (March 21, 2008) – One of the most significant and comprehensive events in the conventions, meetings, and incentives world, PRIME (Pacific Rim Incentives & Meetings and Exchange), will take place on Hawaii’s Big Island from Sept. 9 – 14.
During the four days of this enhanced event, participants will benefit from one-on-one meetings, activities, site visits and educational sessions, and get to know the wide variety of venues and activities available on Hawaii Island.
The 11th annual business exchange gathering will bring together powerhouse planners from North America and Asia with Hawaii industry suppliers who will showcase the Island of Hawaii as a business and incentive destination. This year more than ever, PRIME will be focused on Asian and pan-Pacific business.
The diverse, dramatic natural beauty of Hawaii Island — ranging from uncrowded beaches, and sprawling volcanic lava fields to lush rainforests and remote mountain tops — will be the backdrop as meeting planners learn about the many CMI products, services and venues the island of Hawai‘i has to offer.
As PRIME participants are introduced to activities ranging from a helicopter tour over an erupting volcano to riding the waves in a traditional Hawaiian outrigger canoe, and as they’re shown venues including plush resort meeting spaces, the planners will get to know why this diverse place is called “the Big Island.” Recently added direct flights into the Kona and Hilo international airports only add to the appeal of Hawaii Island.
Besides going on site inspections, outdoor activities and tours, planners will be able to meet one-on-one with their choice of 75 industry suppliers from Hawaii during pre-scheduled appointments. There will also be educational sessions and networking opportunities, as well as post-event excursions to other Hawaiian Islands.
Want to attend PRIME 2008? To be eligible, planners must have site-selection/negotiation responsibilities; have had past or have existing or potential business for Hawaii; use off-shore destinations; plan/organize meetings and conferences of an international scope; and have members or affiliates in the Asia Pacific region.
The $400 fee covers roundtrip air travel to Hawaii, interisland airfare for neighbor island excursions, hotel accommodations, ground transportation, meals and social functions, and recreational activities and tours.
